Imbumba Foundation
Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Imbumba Foundation values the generosity and support of its donors, partners and stakeholders.
As donations contribute towards the Foundation’s charitable programmes and operational commitments, successfully processed donations are generally regarded as final and non-refundable.
However, the Foundation recognises that exceptional circumstances, payment errors or legitimate cancellation requests may arise.
All requests will be considered fairly, subject to verification, applicable terms and South African law.
Requests to cancel donations, programme contributions, event registrations or other payments must be submitted directly to the Foundation.
Where recurring donations are applicable, donors may request cancellation of future contributions. Requests should be submitted before the next scheduled payment to allow sufficient time for processing.
Event or programme cancellations will be assessed in accordance with any specific terms communicated at the time of registration or payment and applicable legislation.
All refund requests must be submitted directly to the Imbumba Foundation via:
Email: info@imbumbafoundation.org
Subject: Cancellation / Refund Request
Requests must include sufficient information and relevant supporting documentation, where reasonably required, to enable verification and assessment.
This may include:
Refunds may be considered in circumstances including duplicate payments, incorrect payment amounts, unauthorised transactions, technical errors or other justified circumstances.
All refund requests will be reviewed and assessed by the Foundation.
The Foundation aims to finalise the assessment and communicate the outcome of a complete refund request within 14 calendar days of receiving all reasonably required supporting documentation.
Should additional verification or investigation be necessary, the applicant will be informed of any anticipated delays.
Approval of a refund remains subject to the merits of the request, applicable payment processing requirements and relevant legislation.
Where a refund is approved:
The Foundation will communicate the expected refund timeline following approval, and all refunds will be processed within any timeframe required by applicable law.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights available under applicable South African legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
Where statutory cancellation, return or refund rights apply to purchases of goods or services, these rights will take precedence over any inconsistent provision of this policy.
